I currently work in the United Nations Secretariat in New York City as a Political Affairs Officer in the Central Africa Team, Central and Southern Africa Division of the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations.

After graduating from Cornell, I worked for 10 months at Halliburton Company in Houston as a Public Relations Coordinator. I received a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC in May 2003. At Georgetown, I concentrated in foreign policy and international security. In July 2003, I joined the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs in Vienna, Austria, after passing the UN National Competitive Exam in Political Affairs.  I moved to UN Headquarters in New York City in September 2006 to join the Department of Political Affairs, covering the Great Lakes and Southern Africa sub-regions. From January 2011 to May 2015, I worked in the Office of the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, covering issues related to the Middle East, the Americas, Decolonization and Palestinian Rights. In May 2015, I moved to the Central Africa Team, where I continue to work today.
