Job Posting: Assistant Professor, Ancient Mesopotamia and/or Egypt

The Department of Near Eastern Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University, seeks to appoint a tenure track assistant professor who specializes in the ancient languages, literatures, and societies of Mesopotamia and/or Egypt. We welcome applicants whose work is interdisciplinary, broadly humanistic, and compliments existing departmental strengths, and who are attentive to the political and ethical dimensions of working with ancient texts.
