Congratulations to Professor Sarah Pearce, New York University, (NES Ph.D. ‘11) and Maurice Chammah '10 who have had their respective books highlighted.
Pearce's book, The Andalusí Literary Intellectual Tradition: The Role of Arabic in Judah ibn Tibbon’s Ethical Will (Indiana UP, 2017), was spotlighted in a Special Form in the Spring 2020 issue of La corónica: A Journal of Medieval Hispanic Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
Chammah's new book, Let the Lord Sort Them: The Rise and Fall of the Death Penalty (Penguin Random House, 2021), was cited in the NY Times among the "13 New Books to Watch for in January".
