NES graduate student wins poetry award

Mabrouk-congratulations to NES Ph.D. student Sasha Prevost who composed and submitted the Arabic poem “In Jerusalem” and received the UW Madison Summer Program Poetry Award for both Arabic and for the all-level, all-language competition.

Prevost took Intermediate Arabic at the Arabic, Persian, and Turkish Language Institute (APTLI) funded by a summer Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship (FLAS) from UW Madison's Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS).
