Alumni Spotlight: Ilene Arnsdorf '07

Ilene Arnsdorf

Ilene Arnsdorf '07 graduated from Cornell University with a double major in Near Eastern Studies and American Studies in 2007. After graduation, she joined Teach for America and moved to Phoenix, Arizona to teach in a high need elementary school. Upon completing her Teach for America commitment, she returned home to Washington, D.C. Since that time, she has worked with students in grades 3-8 in a variety of communities in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. She currently works as the Math Content Specialist at Tilden Middle School in Rockville, Maryland. In this role, she teaches classes to students in grades 6, 7, and 8 while also supervising, supporting, and developing the teachers in Tilden's math department. She holds a Master's in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a Master's in Education Administration from Columbia University, Teacher's College. Ms. Arnsdorf looks forward to roles in both school and district leadership as she continues her career in K-12 education.
